This entry brings a shrewdly unwholesome decadence to this list of beautiful stadia. Over the years its state has regressed irrevocably to a Parthenon-esque conclusion. Designed and built in 1981 by a Russian construction company, Odi Stadium consists of an uncovered grandstand as well as four rectangular, two small triangular and twenty floating stands, giving the stadium a seating capacity of 60 000. This multi-purpose facility includes a soccer field, an athletics track, filed events and several indoor sporting areas. Unfortunately this majestic stadium has suffered neglect over the years. None of the big premier soccer league teams utilise the stadium. As a result it suffers poor maintenance and remains home-ground of Garankuwa United, a small lower division team from the area.
