2. ELANDS RIVER FALLS
The Panorama Route is littered with massive waterfalls, which create just one of the natural gems that attract outdoors enthusiasts to this part of the country year after year. The Elands River Falls fall split into three dramatic drops as they form a splendid flow over the cliff, creating a fantastical vision indicative of nature’s unadulterated scale and power. These falls used to be known as Waterval Boven and are situated at the village of Emgwenya, which once had the same name as the falls. The Elands River Falls are 150 metres high, which makes them spectacularly impressive to witness from up close.
