LADYSMITH – GROBLERSBRUG
7 hours 44 minutes
Batswana cross the Limpopo River into South Africa at the Groblersbrug Border Post. From there on, the N11 takes them through the North West province, Mpumalanga and into KwaZulu-Natal. One of the most wondrous places through which the N11 takes travellers sits right on the border of Limpopo and Mpumalanga. The Loskop Dam, which the Olifants River is a tributary of, is surrounded by beautiful resorts and vakansiedorpies such as Kranspoort.
There are many South African small towns that this road connects (viz Mokopane, Marblehall and Grobblersdal in the North West; Middelburg, Ermelo and Volksrust in Mpumalanga; Newcastle and Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal. Just outside Ladysmith is the Bergville Toll Gate, which is the junction point of the N3, the R616 and the definitive end of N11.
